DIY All Purpose Cleaner
There are a couple different ways to make your own All Purpose cleaner at home. I know that some people do not prefer the smell of vinegar (all though the smell does go away rather quickly) so I will be sharing two different versions today. The first being the vinegar, and recycled kitchen waste version.
Ingredients:
white vinegar
organic citrus peels
optional: rosemary sprig
Instructions:
Place your discarded citrus peels in a jar that you can place an airtight lid on, and add rosemary sprig if wanted
Pour white vinegar over the top to cover the peels
Place your lid on top and let the solution sit for a couple weeks, if you forget it for a couple months that is fine too!
After it has had time to sit and infuse, strain the solution and place the vinegar in a spray bottle
Your solution is ready to use!
The second cleaner works just as well, but does not include vinegar.
Ingredients:
castile soap (Dr. Bronners is great but there are other brands as well)
distilled water
essential oil of choice
Instructions:
Put 4 TBS castile soap and 20 drops essential oil in a 16oz spray bottle
Top bottle off with distilled water
Shake gently before each use
Both cleaners can be used on counters, walls, spot-cleaning the floor, in the kitchen and bathroom, doorknobs etc.
