DIY All Purpose Cleaner

There are a couple different ways to make your own All Purpose cleaner at home. I know that some people do not prefer the smell of vinegar (all though the smell does go away rather quickly) so I will be sharing two different versions today. The first being the vinegar, and recycled kitchen waste version.

Ingredients:

  • white vinegar

  • organic citrus peels

  • optional: rosemary sprig

Instructions:

  • Place your discarded citrus peels in a jar that you can place an airtight lid on, and add rosemary sprig if wanted

  • Pour white vinegar over the top to cover the peels

  • Place your lid on top and let the solution sit for a couple weeks, if you forget it for a couple months that is fine too!

  • After it has had time to sit and infuse, strain the solution and place the vinegar in a spray bottle

  • Your solution is ready to use!

The second cleaner works just as well, but does not include vinegar.

Ingredients:

  • castile soap (Dr. Bronners is great but there are other brands as well)

  • distilled water

  • essential oil of choice

Instructions:

  • Put 4 TBS castile soap and 20 drops essential oil in a 16oz spray bottle

  • Top bottle off with distilled water

  • Shake gently before each use

Both cleaners can be used on counters, walls, spot-cleaning the floor, in the kitchen and bathroom, doorknobs etc.
